Located in Illawarra Regional Airport HARS museum was created by a group of aviation enthusiasts who has formed the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society Inc (HARS) in 1979. The world-class museum has the largest collection of airworthy & static aircraft in the southern hemisphere – 12500 square metres under the roof. Purely volunteer based. Open 7 days a week 9.30am to 3.30pm (except Christmas Day). HARS Museum will soon be home to John Travolta's 707 which has kindly been donated. For more information visit hars.org.au

HARS Tarmac Days

Held on the 2nd weekend of every month from Friday to Sunday between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Each month HARS Aviation Museum offer the public a great opportunity to board and sit in some of the aircraft, including the cockpits of aircraft like their F-111C fighter bomber, and Neptune submarine hunter.
